Visual Assignment

Huge weathered doors are located at the front of the building. On both sides of the doors are stained glass windows even more massive than the doors. Those are the only windows in the front of the building. The archway is in the shape of a large, fat, upside down "V". Beyond the doors sit a font made of dark grey marble filled with water. Beyond that is an enormous room vastly covered with long, beautiful, mahogany pews, each one with a soft burgundy padding. More intricately designed stained class windows, each one telling a diffrent story, run down the left and right sides of the building. Numerous colors of light coming from the windows gently cascade to the floor. The whole room gently slopes down to the back of the building where a stage is centered. On the right side of a stage is a wooden podium, also made of elegant mahogany. In the center of the stage, hanging on the back wall is a massive crucifix. To the right of the stage, men and women are gathered, standing in rows of eight. Each person holds a book opened to the the same page. They start to sing.

Assignment

Location 1 - whisping noise from a fan, fabric rubbing together, wood creaking, breathing, muffled sound of a car driving, A/C kicking on



Location 2 - bird singing, kids yelling, tree leaves and branches rubbing together, a car driving by, my wife talking to me even though I told her I'm trying to sit here and listen to sounds for five minutes, mulch being kicked around, metal rubbing together



Location 3 - chattering people, kids talking (loudly), clanging of silverware on the table, dishes being stacked, ice being poured with liquid in a glass, a crying baby

Yeah ...

Well, today was a pretty big day. My wife got up this morning to take our 2 year old daughter to school, on her way, she found out her grandmother fell out of bed and broke her hip early this morning! We went to the hospital to see her and she was doing great! She was in some pain, and upset with herself for doing it, but other than that, she was doing really good. Nothing is going to keep that woman down! She is soooo strong. She takes care of our daughter every friday and saturday ... I think she wears our daughter out, she's 100 times more active than I am! Our daughter started her swimming lessons today. She had lessons last year, so these are pretty much refresher courses. She's a little fish.

Today

I just found out today that my daughter is going to be in her first school performance next friday. She's 2 and 1/2 years old. I have a video of her on youtube singing "no one" by Alicia Keys.
